Thank you

As I prepare to uproot myself, hit the road and see what Fate has in store for me, I feel extremely grateful for the wonderful people who have shared and shaped my life.

To my friends: Thank you! So many wonderful people have been an important part of my life the past decade or two. I specifically want to acknowledge those people who have been consistently close, kind, generous, supportive, solid, enthusiastic and great companions, including Jack, Anna, Larry, Geoff, Peter, Liz, Markus, Jeff, Max, Ron, Amy, Pat, Anne, Sonia, Lori and John.
[I kept this list tight for quick reading; there are so many more awesome people I could name...]

To my family: Thank you for being supportive and for tolerating (accepting?) my general lack of communication while so far away.

To the good folks at The Nature Conservancy (present and past): Thank you for 15 years! A lot has happened in that time. I've been tremendously fortunate to be a part of it, and to work with and learn from so many amazing people.

Finally, to the city of Seattle: Thank you for being my home for the past 18 years. After all that time -- including five different addresses -- there's much about this place I will miss.

  1. We'll miss you, Jeff. It is hard to imagine our outdoor adventures and indoor beer drinking without you. But I am also jealous of your adventure and we look forward to catching up with you in a few months - wherever that may be!

    1. Thanks, Anna. I already miss you and Jack. I'll be sure to think of you both when I raise a pint in some far off place. :-)

    1. Robin - another awesome person in my life! I'm glad you are enjoying some peace and quiet now that I've left town with my loudness. I hope it doesn't stay TOO quiet for such a friendly and enthusiastic person as you.
